He runs the vacuum!

Six years ago I had a surgical procedure which limited me from pushing and pulling a vacuum or mop for months. My hubby took over that chore then and has continued to do it each week. Our gray and purple Dyson gets a good workout each weekend with all the hair in our house from two beagles and three cats! Tim hates housework (oh, Tim is the hubby, not one of the dogs or cats!). He takes out the vacuum each week and starts a chant of: I love the sound of the vacuum. Hey, I don't care what he chants as long as he vacuums!

While at a convention in Phoenix last year, I ran across the Impression Obsession booth. They had an awesome collection of stamps of men doing things: mowing the grass, spraying for inspects, cooking on the grill, and this stamp of the guy vacuuming. I couldn't resist this stamp!

Tim loves color and while we were watching football two weeks ago, the Seattle Seahawk team were playing and their colors are green and blue--Tim said he liked that color combination. I colored this with Copics and used the sentiment that came with the stamp. The three birthday cakes are brads with the backs cut off and glued on the card. There are two different ribbons layered beneath the image.

You can see the chamois, sponge, spray bottle and my dusting Swiffer stuck in his pockets. I've offered to trade chores with him if he'll clean the 3 bathrooms, kitchen and dust the house, but he insists he'd rather vacuum.  I'm not complaining!!

Happy Birthday, Tim, and thanks for doing this chore each week!

                                                                       Hugs,
                                                                       Gail

  14. I'm at a bit of a loss as to why I haven't been on your blog for a bit; I know my commenting has been a little hit and miss but I've tried to pop in to my fave blogs with a quick comment here and there but have clearly missed you on my rounds - ooops!

Anyway, I'm glad I got to see this awesome card - I just love the image and the hoovering story to go with it :-) We have clearly defined jobs in our house and Dr. Hubby is the hoovering and toilet cleaning man whilst I get... everything else!

Ok, let's see what else I have missed around here...

    Big hugs, Kat x
